The Karakoram Highway is simply one of the best roads in the world to drive. We Have been on a road that really excited us with Incredible views, death defying drops. It holds the record as the highest paved road in the world reaching an altitude of 4,693m and cuts through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery on the planet, cutting through three of the world’s highest ranges; the Karakoram, Himalaya and Hindu Kush mountains. Its construction started in 1966 and took 13 years to complete.
I'm just a traveler on a bike. I'm not a cyclist & I don't want to become one either. From past two years we were in search of some high roads in Northern Pakistan, finally, in the year 2015 we hit the road from Gilgit to Shandoor
We had the original plan to travel from Gilgit to Chitral, but many people showed their concerns regarding the flood in the Chitral valley, So we restricted ourselves till Shandoor, but we needed the determination to push our limits to the extent we could.
A little bit disappointment since Shandoor polo festival won't be available this year due to floods.
